Appearance update

So I haven't really updated on my appearance since pretty much my first post which was a photo from my 17th of last year. So, there has been a change since then. My hair is still super long but could even be longer now since I have not had a haircut since but now, I have what people like to call it, an ombre where the ends are lighter then the top of my hair. Its meant to be kind of natural like but some people dye the end of their hair pink, purple or whatever they feel like. But I stuck to the more natural look. I do need to go get it done eventually. I basically still look exactly the same but now I am closer to being 18 then I am being 17. So there you have it, my latest appearance update. xoxo

Week with my dad

So, for those who follow my blog you would have known that I was up in Brisbane visiting my dad who just got back from over seas. And we got to spend a beautiful week together just catching up and pondering what we're/he's going to do. Lots of cuddles were given and it definitely was hard to say goodbye yesterday but I will be up again this weekend to visit. Spending time with my dad after being months apart showed me how much I missed my dad and how much I appreciate the time that I have with my family. Even though I have two wonderful older brothers my dad has always been my number one, my family, my everything and I would never change anything we've ever been through for anything. Because it has made us who we are today and made us stronger then ever as individuals and as a family.
So what dad and I got up to this week was we took a little train ride into the city and went to the Goma in brisbane as well as the old museum which I hope my dad loved because as for those who don't know my dad is an amazing artist. Not just your average artist who does it for a hobby but one who does it for a living and has sold work all around the world. He's one of those artist that strive through all the knock backs and just keeps marching on. Very important lesson to be honest. You have to be prepared for failure because it's going to be there through life. Whether it happens all the time or if your one of those lucky people who only encounter failure once but it's going to be there. You just need to accept it and move on. Because life is too short to beat yourself up about the past but to be positive about tomorrow. So that is my week my lovely blogging family. Have a nice night. I am soon off to work again which is going to be busy since it is easter now. Happy easter everyone xoxo

Update

Hello blogging world,
I am sorry that I haven't been blogging in a while or updated on my last movements but I just don't have the time. I work everyday and if I'm not working I'm sleeping or gyming it up at SNAP. So, right now I am sitting in a room at my aunties place because recently my dad has arrived back in Australia from his little adventure over seas. So, now dad is back in the great country of Australia which I am so happy about because if you have read my blog, you know how much I love my dad and adore him to death. I caught a train up from the coast to here in Brisbane to catch up with my dad and spend some time with him before I have to go back to the coast and go back to good old work. Let me tell you. It is great to have a week off from work to just do nothing and to do things that you just can't do because work can get in the way. I have just recently purchased a black iPhone 5 which I am so happy about. I've been hanging out for one for a while and now I have finally got it. I absolutely love it. I love the look of it and everything. I'm not a huge technology geek and know all the stuff behind the scenes of iPhones but I do love the newest iPhone out on the market. I honestly have not been up to much lately. All I have been doing is working, gym and now just visiting my amazing dad. Tomorrow we are off to the city to go to the museums and just have a little wonder re. around the place. So be sure to see some photos from out adventure.
Talking about adventure, there has been a few little adventures that I have been up too but I will have to blog about that a little later because I am super tired at the moment and just want to sit back, watch tv and fall asleep.
So there you have it world, the update on my current movements.
Not that interesting hey?
I promise you It will get more exciting.
Take care. xoxo

Healthy Meals

CHOW MEIN

For some odd reason I have been craving chow mein for the past week and I finally got around to making some for lunch today. It's an easy meal to make and taste beautifully. It's a great healthy meal because you can chuck all sorts of vegetables in it to get your daily serves of vegetables that everyone should be having. If you like curry type's of food, then this is the meal for you.
I'll list down the ingredients below and the method.
There really isn't a huge method in making this meal, it's pretty straight forward.
So, internet world, if you love chow mein like I do then I hope you enjoy this recipe.

INGREDIENTS-
  • 500g of beef mince
  • 350g fresh chow mein noodles
  • Cubes of beef stock to your liking
  • 3 cups of hot water
  • 1/2 teaspoon of curry powder (feel free to add more)
  • 3 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • pea's to your liking
  • carrots to your liking
  • 2 large brown onions
  • few clovers of garlic
  • salt and pepper
METHOD-
  • Dice the onion and garlic together, place in a large pan
  • Add mince and brown
  • Add water and beef stock and stir and let it simmer
  • When the mince is brown and the stock is blended nicely add your chopped vegetables in
  • Add soy sauce and curry powder and stir
  • When you have achieved a taste that you like, add the noodles
  • Allow the noodles to get soft or even keep them crunchy, all depends on what you like.
  • Serve and enjoy

Adventures on the beach

Just the other weekend my best friend Luke came up the coast for the weekend and we did some exploring as well as watched a movie which I think anyone would love and enjoy.
Luke and I visited nearly every beach there was in Caloundra. We went to Kings beach, Moffets beach, Golden beach, The small beach at Bulcock street and Currimundi beach. There's probably one or two that I'm missing out but you get the idea. We visited a few beaches. We climbed a tree, we took many photo's with and without my fisheye lens. We ate gelato ice cream and pretty much drove everywhere that was interesting to look at. The photo above, first line in the middle you will see a photo that I took up at the headlands. I honestly think it's a beautiful photo and being up there for yourself is amazing. Especially when you go there on a nice day with no clouds in the sky. After our very tiring adventure around the coast we went and watched 21 and over.

21 and over is such a hilarious movie. In some ways it's like The Hangover if you've seen it. Definitely a movie for 15+ ages though. Down bellow is a link to the official trailer to the movie.
Until next time. xoxo

DREAM CAR COME AT ME!

As I am coming up to sending my log book a way I have been looking around for a good first car. I am absolutely in love with Nissan Micras either cream or pink. But before I go into my obsession of these beautiful cars I should probably explain what a log is for those who read my blog and don't live in Australia. Im not exactly sure if anywhere else in the world do what we do before we get our licence but anyway, I thought I'd share what you have to do to get your licence.
We have to wait until we are 16 to take a test which is a learners test that contains 30 questions all about road safety and rules of the road.  You can only get two wrong out of the 30 questions to pass. Luckily for me I got 30 out of 30 right. After the test you get given a log book which you must fill out every time you drive. The photo below is what the log book looks like inside and what you have to fill out.

You have to get up to 100 hours of driving all up (80 Day time hours and 10 night time hours) before you can go for your Provisional Licence. It is actually hard work getting 100 hours. But then theres the Provisional test which can be hard, just depends how confident you are. When you reach 100 hours and you are confident with all the different types of parking and all the things that driving entails then you send your log book a way and it gets approve. Which means if all the hours you've logged are legit. At that time you set up a Provisional driving test. When everything has been approved then you go on your test with a Driver instructor who tells you what direction to go, where to park, where to make a u-turn etc. If the driver instructor is happy with how you went then you get your provisional licence which means you won't need an adult to supervise your driving. You are capable to drive all on your own. Theres probably a few things that I've missed out or haven't explained well but you get the gist of it all.

Now, to my obsession with Nissan Micras. I currently have over 80 hours of driving so I'm nearly there. I just need to get a few more night hours and some lessons on parking and I will be set and driving on my own in know time. I think Nissan Micras are the cutest little cars and I believe it'd suit me perfectly. As long as has an aux cord in it which I can stick my iPod into, I'll be one happy chappy. Fingers crossed that my dad will be kind enough to help me buy this car. And dad if you read this, this is bit is purely for you to read and from me I'm saying wink wink nudge nudge.

So there you have it blogging readers. That is how people in Australia get there licence.
Untill my next blog. xoxo

My dad

The most amazing man in my life - Mark Eddis Shellshear

My baby years

"

Graduating high school - 2012

My dad is the most inspirational, strongest, caring, warm hearted and greatest man that has ever been in my life. He has sacrificed a lot in his life, in our life so that I would have the best future, the best education and the best up bringing that he could possibly give me. As a single parent, he did nothing less then love me, care for me, provide me all the things that I needed. But he was more then just a dad but a friend. Someone I could always rely on. Always come to when needed. Always a shoulder to cry on. He has always been there for me, no matter what time, no matter what day, no matter what situation. He has done an incredible job bringing me up and I can't  thank him enough. I honestly owe him the world. He's the best father I could ask for. Best person to rely on and the best friend a girl could ever have.
